A 2-IN-1 MACHINE

Ammann Walk-Behind Rollers combine two applications in a single machine. The operator chooses whether to utilise a high-amplitude setting for work on gravel/soil or a low-amplitude setting for asphalt and bituminous materials.

The walk-behind rollers are offered with two alternative diesel engine types, in additional to a petrol version for the AWR 65-S. All deliver great power to the machine and fulfill global emission standards worldwide.

Biofuel Use

Ammann diesel-burning machines are able to utilise hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), a biofuel made from waste that reduces CO2 emissions by up to 90%.

INNOVATIVE STEERING

The ARW 65-S with a steering angle of 15° can also be moved to the left and right, in addition to the forward and backward movement of the ARW 65.

EDGE WORK

The ARW Rollers offer clearance on both drum sides, allowing compaction work extremely close to curbstones, retaining walls and other obstacles. No extra time-consuming work on edges and in confined areas is needed.

MINIMAL MAINTENANCE

The ARW rollers are built without mechanical fast-wearing parts such as V belts and a clutch, helping reduce maintenance needs.

SAFETY FIRST

The ergonomic guide handle includes the dead man’s handle that immediately shuts off the machine if the operator releases his or her grip. In reverse mode the roller’s speed limit is set to 2.5km/h as a safety regulation to protect the operator.

SMOOTH WORK

The hydraulic drive ensures variable speed adjustment and smooth starting/braking action.
