TYRED ROLLER OFFERS COMFORT, MEETS EMISSIONS STANDARDS
MEDIA RELEASE AMMANN GROUP
LANGENTHAL, Switzerland – The new Ammann ART 240 T4f Pneumatic-Tyred Roller provides productivity-improving operator comfort and an engine that meets Tier 4 Final emissions standards.
The operator comfort includes intuitive controls that simplify handling and operation. A multifunctional operator display provides instant feedback for easier operation and improved responsiveness.
The cabin features 2 working stations. It is spacious and enables optimal visibility, with operator site lines to the entire jobsite as well as working areas in front and in back of the machine.
The ART 240 utilises a front isostatic oscillating axle with 4 wheels. The rear-drive propulsion system of 4 wheels provides the necessary power, regardless of tyre pressures or the weight of the ballast. The tyre widths and arrangement ensure consistent coverage and even weight distribution to provide the desired kneading and sealing effect on soil, aggregate or asphalt.
The operator can adjust tyre pressure from the dashboard with the air-on-run system. Ballast is easy to add and remove and fits precisely to ensure even compaction.
Options provide more enhancements. Edge cutters eliminate the need for a utility machine, while thermal aprons keep tyres warm. An air-conditioned cab keeps the operator productive during long, hot shifts and increases overall safety on jobsites.
Easy access to service points, drain ports and filters makes the ART 240 simple to maintain.
