Success story of GR Infraprojects by collaborating with Ammann India
G R Infraprojects Ltd. is a 20+ years experienced firm in executing road focused EPC projects, comprising of construction and development of state and national highways, bridges, culverts, flyovers, airport runways and rail over bridges, with 100+ projects to their credit.
“We have executed more than 100 projects in the last 12 years,” said Mr. Vinod Kumar Agarwal, Managing Director of the company, with a head office in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
Mr. Agarwal considers two recent projects to be the “most significant and prestigious.” The first one is converting the Handia-Varanasi section of NH-2 in Uttar Pradash to a six-lane road for a length of 72 km. The second one is a four-lane conversion of the Gundugolanu-Devarapalli-Kovvuru section of NH-16.
“We credit our success of these two projects to our supplier partners – and more particularly, Ammann India,” Mr. Agarwal said.
Deployed on the construction sites were the advanced Ammann ABA 260 and ABA 180 UniBatch Asphalt-Mixing Plants.
A trademark of the two road expansions was meeting production demands and tight deadlines. “I would attribute this high productivity, which was instrumental to our success on these two projects, to Ammann India and their employees,” Mr. Agarwal said. “As you know, people make all the difference.”
Talking about specifics, Mr. Agarwal said, “The Ammann customer support team has been very cordial and cooperative in extending on-site parts support. In addition, Ammann India deployed trained operators and technicians to the location of the plants, which led to production the instant they began operation.”
The attention and support continued beyond setting up the plants. Ammann engineers have monitored the condition of plants on a regular basis. The plants were maintained pro-actively, thereby ensuring zero breakdowns.
“Their reliability was essential in meeting the required deadlines,” Mr. Agarwal said. “One of the key success factors is that we did not lose out on our productive hours by even a minute.”
The maintenance scheduling also was instrumental to success on the two jobsites. “The maintenance routines were scheduled by Ammann India in such a way that our productive hours were not impacted at all,” he said.
The support included valuable lessons that leveraged all the plants’ built-in value. The suggestions given by Ammann India toward pro-active maintenance were very helpful and gave our team a new perspective on how to achieve more with Ammann products, Mr. Agarwal said.
“These plants functioned seamlessly and, backed by their excellent after-sales support, enabled seamless integration of these projects,” he said.
Having used Ammann India plants for the prestigious projects, the company now has full confidence in their range. “We have plans to purchase more plants from Ammann India for our other projects as well,” Mr. Agarwal said.
The previous accomplishments have the firm poised to further build its business.
“We believe that our focused approach will enable us to continue to take advantage of future market opportunities and expand into new markets and when combined with our technical experience and pricing, be critical in enabling us to compete against other players in this industry,” Mr. Agarwal said.
Amman India is encouraged to support our customers to the extent of partnering with them all through their journey to success. We believe our customer’s success is our success.
