NEW ARS COMPACTORS OPTIMISE COMPACTION THROUGH TECHNOLOGY
MEDIA RELEASE AMMANN GROUP
LANGENTHAL, Switzerland – Ammann has introduced the first two models of the new ARS line of single-drum soil compactors that combine tried-and-true features with intelligent compaction technology.
With this addition to its extensive product line, Ammann continues to be the industry leader in compaction output while offering improved efficiencies and cost savings as well.
The proprietary ACEforce system is available on the ARS 200 T4f/T3 and the ARS 220 T4f/T3. Benefits of ACEforce technology include gains in quality control, reduced machine wear and cost savings.
ACEforce helps the operator monitor indications of compaction. When goals have been met, the operator confidently can move onto other areas of the jobsite and avoid unnecessary passes and the wasted time and fuel that go with them. The technology also can provide documentation and GPS mapping.
The machines meet U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage 4 emissions standards. There also are engine options with U.S. EPA Tier 3 and EU Stage 3A for customers in less-regulated countries.
The ARS machines feature newly designed cabs that set new standards in operator comfort and visibility. Controls are intuitive and easy to access. The unique multifunctional display integrated into the steering wheel helps operators of all skill levels fully utilise all machine functions. The intelligent propulsion system provides industry-leading gradeability and fuel economy.
The positioning of the engine enables access from all four sides of the engine. Main maintenance and service parts are accessible at ground level.
The ARS compactors also incorporate popular existing features including a no-rear-axle concept with fully hydrostatic drive to help the machines power through loose underfoot conditions and cohesive soils and perform on uneven terrain and grades. The optional Ammann Traction Control (ATC) is an intelligent system that controls the torque of the wheel and prevents slipping.
The powerful Ammann dual vibratory and amplitude systems are key tools in providing industry-leading compaction output.
The Ammann single-drum roller lineup features weights ranging from 3 tonnes to 25 tonnes to help contractors find the right match for their needs.
