Ammann ACM Prime Named a ‘Top Product’ by U.S. Publication
Asphalt Contractor magazine, a key U.S. trade publication, has recognized the Ammann ACM 140 Prime Asphalt-Mixing Plant as one of the top 30 products of 2018.
Winners of the 2018 Top 30 Editor’s Choice Awards presented by Asphalt Contractor represent the construction industry’s most preferred products, equipment, and services.
The winners, determined by contractors themselves, must meet certain criteria to be considered for the prestigious award. The editorial team looks at the most searched products on ForConstructionPros.com, equipment innovations that are gaining attention and traction on the jobsite, and products that have sparked social media engagement.
“We are very proud of the ACM 140 Prime, and are honored that Asphalt Contractor – and contractors themselves – see this plant’s potential,” said Jenelle Strawbridge, Ammann’s National Sales Manager Asphalt Plants-USA.
The ACM Prime is ideal for those who have a number of small jobs in varied locations and where frequent transport is required. It’s also perfect for paving contractors looking to introduce asphalt production into their businesses.
“Contractors look to this list for what they should be adding to their fleet. It is key, in choosing the right equipment and products, to get the job done not only correctly, but also efficiently and effectively,” said Amy Schwandt, group publisher.
Jessica Lombardo, Asphalt Contractor’s editor, added, “The products chosen in this year’s Top 30 Editor’s Choice Awards reflect the best of the best in the industry. From new equipment to trending products/services, it is the ideal resource for contractors nationwide.”
The ACM Prime has drawn much attention since entering the North American market a little more than a year ago. The plant excels at specialty mixes, such as those used for paving tennis courts and running tracks.
“The ACM Prime is engineered for smaller volumes and therefore produces them efficiently, delivering cost savings in fuel and electrical energy consumption,” said Richard Labelle, Ammann’s National Sales Manager Asphalt Plants-Canada.
The total working length of the plant is 71 ft., making it a good fit on production sites were space is tight. The entire plant and three cold feeder bins fit on two trailers during transport.
Entering recipes is done with the click of a mouse and a flat screen displays the entire plant and process in a simple view. The plant can utilize recycled asphalt.
Additional information on award recipients can be found in the May issue of Asphalt Contractor, the only magazine dedicated to asphalt producers and contractors, and at ForConstructionPros.com.
