Ammann ARS 110.2 Pounds Out Profit
New Compactor Reaches Targets Faster Than Competitive Models
Ammann’s newest single drum roller outperforms rivals in all compaction applications.
“Wet soils, aggregates – pick your application, and this is the best performer,” said Mr. Syed Irshad Ahmed, Product Manager, Ammann India.
The Ammann ARS 110.2 Single Drum Roller, an 11-tonne machine, transfers the highest applied force to the ground when compared to competitive products in its weight category.
“The applied force translates to productivity,” said Mr. Syed Irshad Ahmed, Product Manager, Ammann India. “These rollers reach compaction targets more quickly than similar models from other manufacturers. That means reaching compaction targets in fewer passes of the roller – and that, in turn, means savings on fuel and labor. The ARS 110.2 is a profit-maker.”
The roller, the latest model in the ARS line, features the Ashok Leyland CEV Stage V H4C410122 engine. It is fuel efficient and meets CEV Stage V emissions norms.
Powerful compaction forces
The compactor drives energy into the material and away from the operator; power delivered to the ground is what sets the machine apart. The maximum applied force is 222 kN (low) and 337 kN (high). It accomplishes this through frequencies of 32 Hz and 35 Hz; amplitudes of 0.9 mm and 1.85 mm; and centrifugal forces of 160 kN and 275 kN.
Superior traction
The four-bearing vibratory system is robust and reliable. Rugged tires, with 12-ply rating, provide traction and productivity. The rear wheels have separate drives instead of a rear axle. This enables the engine to be lowered, which enhances stability, gradeability, traction and visibility.
Operator friendly
The clear dashboard layout ensures safe, productive operation. The engine compartment design forces hot air toward the rear of the machine and away from the operator. Four shock mounts isolate the operator platform from vibration. A foldable sunroof canopy is standard.
Ready for any jobsite
Varied amplitude settings make it suitable for multiple applications. They include national and state highways, city and municipal roads, PMGSY (urban-rural connectivity), airports, mining haul roads, dam embankments, industrial developments, ports, smart cities, power and steel plant infrastructure, and others.
Simple maintenance
Service and maintenance points are reachable from the ground for easy access and quick upkeep. The platform and engine hood are tiltable. Drum bearings are self-lubricating.
